for the Strega Awards. Cimpoeşu is a real story teller. In this
novel and in Erou fără voie / The
Accidental Hero (not yet available in
translation) Cimpoeşu mixes the everyday with the fantastic, so it’s
no accident that his “novel of angels and Moldavians” has been
highly praised in Romania and abroad. The publisher invites readers
to meet the author and hear presentations by literary critics
Alexandru Cistelecan and Fulvio Panzeri as well as Monica Joiţa,
Interim Director of the Romanian Institute for Culture in Venice,
which contributes its support to this event. The event will take
place at the Milan FNAC Bookstore (Via della Palla, 2) at 18:00 on
Tuesday, May 19.
