Dan Lungu’s Sono una Vecchia Comunista/Sunt o babă comunistă/Baba Comunista will aim its subtle and terrific humor at Italian readers during the Turn International Book Fair. A novel of laughter, questions and nostalgias with plenty of disquieting moments, the book takes an inside look at a young girls’ life (as well as at those of her family and workmates) under the communist regime. Crafted with sociological insight, the novel asks the Romanian audience and hence the world what the communism inside each of us may have meant and may still mean. The publisher will present the La Romania incontra l'Italia / Romania Meets Italy Project.The launch will take place at the Romanian stand at the “Spazio Book”, Pavilion 5, Lingotto Fiere on May 14 at 15:30. There will be a second presentation at Libreria Feltrinelli, Galleria Alberto Sordi (Via del Corso).
